BJSA Tackle Football

BJSA is committed to teaching the fundamentals of football to all age groups. Football teaches good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and the importance of physical fitness. We have an incedible group of all-volunteer coaches who work tirelessly throughout the fall with our football teams.

BJSA's Tackle Football program continues to expand each year. We now field 15 teams annually with approximately 18-22 players on each team. Ages for this program are 8-14. Ages for the various teams are determined as of August 1st of that year. Our 8-10 year old "B" teams compete "in house" while all other teams compete in the Heartland Youth Football League (the area's largest). Games are played on Sunday afternoons at BJSA's home field at Haworth Park. Away games for our traveling teams are played in the Metro area. Registration fees include the use of practice and game equipment with the exception of shoes and socks.
