BJSA Cheerleading

Youth, ages 7-14, are taught the basics of cheering in a game atmosphere, as well as various jumps and dance routines.

Cheerleaders are placed on squads with other girls of the same age. Games are played on Sunday afternoons in Bellevue and in surrounding areas.

Cheerleaders will also be included in various social activities throughout the year. Besides the one time registration fee, cheerleaders are responsible for purchasing their own uniform.

Cheerleaders' Report Cards due by 10/28

The girls are given academic awards for straight A's or B average. To be eligible for the award, a copy of their report cards must be turned in by October 28th. No late report cards will be accepted.

Cheerleading Awards Ceremony and End of Season Performance

The Cheerleading end of season performance/awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday November 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm. The ceremony will be held at the Bellevue East Auditorium. This will give the squads an opportunity to showcase some cheers and dances they have learned throughout the season.

Cheer squads for the inhouse football teams will be splitting their time on the field between their team and the opposing inhouse team if that opposing team does not have a cheer squad. We do not have enough cheerleaders to fill squads for every team.

We would like to say a big "Thank you" to the Bellevue East Cheerleaders that spent all day Saturday with the BJSA cheer squads. The girls enjoyed a day full of fun and instruction and will put that into action Friday night at the game. Thank you for your time!
