BJSA Baseball

BJSA annually fields 12 teams of youth baseball players with 11 to 13 players per team. We are a part of the Nebraska USSSA. This program involves intense competition with youngsters playing between 25 and 60 games during the season (depending upon age group).

Players must tryout for each team, with tryouts in late July. BJSA fields two teams for each age group U9s through U14s. The "A" teams in each age group are designated as the "Bruins" while the "B" teams in each age group are named the "Braves." Players selected participate in winter practice at the BJSA Sports Center as well as the Lied Activity Center.

Games start in late March/early April and end in early July. Special emphasis is placed on training and developing players for participation at the high school level. Additional fundraising is expected. Fees include uniform and pre-paid gate fees.

BJSA's twelve select baseball teams will be sporting new uniforms this year with a consistent design for both the Bruins and Braves teams. The design is anchored by our new "B" logo we hope will become synonomis with BJSA and our exeptional sports programs. We have also contracted with Primetime Sporting Goods to provide parents and friends with fangear of all varieties.
